All proceeds from this event benefit the Southaven Police Department and the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department.

This is an opportunity to support our local law enforcement as well as create memories with friends, family, and co-workers! Blues For the Blue will be filled with live music, drinks, good eats, and more. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Southaven Police Department's First Responders Benevolence Fund & DCSO Blue Line Fund. All sponsorships include wristbands to the Blues & Crawfish Festival on May 4th. Each wristband includes all-you-can-eat crawfish and 4 drink tickets.

The Southaven’s First Responders Benevolence Fund seeks to help meet the special needs that arise in the life of those that faithfully serve and protect us. In this role, the Fund provides financial support to Southaven law enforcement and fire personnel and their families during a time of crisis that can include, food, medical supplies, or payments for uncovered medical expenses. In addition to the SPD’s First Responders Benevolence Fund, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department created the Blue Line Fund to support officers through education, training, and support when harm comes way.

The First Responders Benevolence Fund & Blue Line Fund, both the first of its kind in the State of Mississippi, is not only supporting officers in need, but is enabling the Southaven Police Department & DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department to be noticed as leaders throughout the State of Mississippi. In being considered a leader in the state's police force, an agency that is forging the way, the Southaven Police Department & DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department is able to recruit, retain, hire, and train at the highest level—all factors in making Southaven even more of a desirable city to "Live, Work, Play." Community support through events such as Blues For the Blue in turn directly supports, protects, and advances our community, businesses, and schools making this an event to be considered as an investment in the future of Southaven for years to come.
